New Slack Integration for Real-Time Manager Notifications

This month, we rolled out our Slack integration, designed to keep everyone informed. Now, whenever an employee submits a time-off request or reimbursement claim or hits a milestone like a birthday, managers receive immediate notifications in a dedicated Slack channel of their choosing. Each notification includes quick-action options, so managers can approve, deny, or respond to requests directly within Slack without needing to navigate away.

Managers can also set up shoutouts and alerts to recognize employee achievements or birthdays in real-time. This integration allows for seamless communication, improving responsiveness and engagement within teams.

Improved Timesheet Feature for Project Tracking

Timesheet functionality has been improved to give employees more flexibility in time tracking:

  • Automatic or Manual Tracking: Employees now have the choice to enter time manually or use an automatic timer for a more hands-free approach. This flexibility accommodates diverse workflows, letting team members manage time tracking according to their preferences.

With these updates, time-tracking is now more adaptable, fitting seamlessly into various working styles.

Basic API Access for Data Integration

We’ve introduced a basic, read-only API to allow for simple data access and integration with other tools. Currently, the API offers:

  • Employee Data (basic_info): Provides basic employee profile information for easy synchronization.
  • Clocking Data (clockings): Allows for viewing clocking records to help with productivity tracking.
  • Project Data (projects): Enables access to project data for integration with external systems.

This basic API functionality is a first step towards more comprehensive data access, making it easier to extract essential HR data as needed.

New “My Inbox” Dashboard View for Managers

The “My Inbox” view is a new addition to the manager’s account, consolidating all employee requests, such as time-off and reimbursement submissions, in one place. This centralized inbox view lets managers review, approve, or respond to requests efficiently, reducing the need to switch between sections. All in one.

Enhanced Asset Assignment Interface

Assigning assets to employees is now even more streamlined. Managers can use a new side-panel button to allocate resources, such as equipment or software licenses, with a single click.


Additional Updates & Bug Fixes

  • Assets: Ability to search assets with a serial number.
  • Reimbursements: Fixed "Categories" view for a standard user
  • Benefits:
    • Markdown Support: Markdown is now fully supported in benefits descriptions, ensuring consistent formatting.
    • Fixed list updating after any changes
